Dedari Villa Hotel

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. There are only 12 villa’s so its quite private, the staff were professional and friendly and being so small its a very personal experience, we talked to the manager most days. They have a room service menu that includes western or Indonesian food, its simple food yet delicious and its served on your Terrace. Our room was spacious and Balinese style, we had views overlooking the pool and the river gorge below. There are some sights to see within walking distance and they have a free shuttle into town. The view from the infinity pool is breathtaking, its deep and the water temperature perfect, so swimming is pleasant from early morning to late evening. There is a jungle trail to the elephant cave (700 metres), and although they don’t encourage you to walk it I’m 61 and I found it to be easy and a wonderful experience. There are shrines on the way and it follows the river. If you take the left track just after you pass through the family Temple at the beginning of the track you end up at the river gorge. There is a bamboo bridge to get to the centre of the river and it’s spectacular, basically in the backyard. All the rooms have a filtered water machine, dispensing on demand either hot water, room temp or chilled water, which is so much better than boiling a jug or using plastic bottles. In room massages were professional and inexpensive.

We were in Dedari in our honey moon,and it’s amazing!! Great food,staff so nice,villas so clean and cute,food incredible,visits,shuttle...a Lot of lovely details!! .so recomendable!! perfect experience in Bali!!

Had a good time at Dedari. All staff very helpful and will arrange tours etc. Location is 20 minutes from centre of Ubud and local village is basic. You need the hotel to transport you to a restaraunt or local sights and is AUD$5 each way. Room was good - we had room #7 that was at the end and overlooked a jungle ravine. Breakfast included but was basic as was other menu items. Pool was ok & nice view out to the forrest. Most local tours will pick up and drop off from the hotel.
