A true paradise in the mountains above Lovina. The activities are a real asset and show you a lot of the surroundings around. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean. Surprisingly lovely pool. Very welcoming to our family, for our grandson of 2.5 was a slide provided in the pool. He was carried on his hands by the staff. No shortage of food, a wide variety available. The botanical garden is exceptional and the view too. The villa is a colonial architectural gem. Our rooms were below, height of the garden. The tranquility seeker will certainly benefit from the blissful weather, slightly cooler in the mountains and yet close to the sea. Fine host and hostess

Our stay at Gunung Paradise was, in one word, special. From the very first moment we felt genuinely welcome by Karien and Jack, two passionate owners who have created this place with heart and soul. Everything here radiates care, calm and respect — for nature, for the local culture and for the guest. The location, set in the lush and tranquil mountain landscape, is breathtaking and invites you to slow down and truly be present. The accommodation is thoughtfully and tastefully designed: comfortable, harmonious and perfectly in balance with its surroundings. What truly sets Gunung Paradise apart is the personal involvement of Karien and Jack. They think along with you, generously share their knowledge of the area and do everything they can to make your stay not only pleasant, but also meaningful. Through them, we experienced a spiritual ceremony (palm reading and a cleansing ceremony), a fantastic dolphin tour, and a private family yoga session with Lola from Lola Yoga Lovina. From small, thoughtful details to their sustainable vision and warm hospitality — everything feels just right. What we personally appreciated enormously was the attention given to healthy, pure food. The meals are prepared with love and care: fresh, nourishing and in harmony with both body and environment. A stay here is more than just an overnight visit — it is an experience that stays with you. We would return without hesitation.

Wow, wow, wow! Gunung Paradis has more than exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, butler Sudi was waiting for us at our room. During our stay of 3 days (2 nights) we could always count on Sudi! He was so attentive and helpful. The deluxe bungalow was a gem at this resort: food served on the terrace at your bungalow, surrounded by a beautiful pond, full kitchen, lounge, 2 extensive bathrooms with beautiful outdoor showers, and lovely bedrooms (with very good beds). What can you expect more from your holiday... Moreover, the cook was very aware of what she could cook for our daughter who needs to eat gluten-free and conjured up the most delicious meals for everyone. The pool is also a plus: located in the beautiful garden, you will definitely relax in / by the pool. We met owners Karin and Jack, and we now perfectly understand how Gunung Paradis Retreat can offer this quality: Karin and Jack are very friendly, attentive, treat their guests and staff very respectfully. They have a beautiful outlook on life. Price/quality was definitely a plus. We would so book here again and recommend Gunung Paradis to everyone.
