We stayed at Kunti Villas for 4 nights. In photos looks great but in reality it’s very well worn and needs upgrading. For a 4.5 star rating it leaves a bit to be desired. In my opinion it’s not 4.5 star quality, it may have been back in the day but not now. Upon arrival, everything looked tidy but not clean.
The floors throughout were gritty and dirty underfoot so when getting into bed you had to wipe your feet off. I think the floors may have been swept but definitely not washed, you could see dirty foot marks, spilt drinks etc from previous guests and after house keeping cane it didn’t change. Same with the stone kitchen bench top I don’t think it had been wiped from cup marks etc
All bath towels, hand towels and face washers we a Grey colour not white with stains and fraying edges etc not 4.5 star, they would have been cleaning rags back home.
The pool walls are covered in mould/moss although the water was clear you don’t want to lean on the edges of the walls etc
When you got in the pool it overflowed flooding all the way down past the bedroom building and around the back to the toilet. So the walkway was constantly full of water and boggy underfoot.
The overhead rain shower head was blocked and leaking so the water sprayed out in all directions. Under the cupboards in bathroom had a strong aroma of musky mouldy wood with water leaks. The shower was less than clean... even a hose out would have improved it!
The bed has a thin mattress on top of a base ply wood which made it a very firm bed with not much give for comfort. When the bed was made it had a fitted sheet and doona ... no top sheet, so being hot we slept with no covers bc it was too hot. The canopy overhead was stained and had mould marks.
Paint was peeling on the lower parts of the walls.
Both air conditioners worked enough to keep the room cool as long as you kept the blinds shut and doors closed.
The wardrobe behind the bed has lights continually on and when inspecting the switch at the top my partner found bare wires and got zapped! So we just didn’t worry about the light!!
The kitchen really let the whole place down. Filthy filthy filthy! There was very little available to use and what was there was filthy. Every piece of cutlery, crockery was gross! There was no tea coffee sugar or milk available and no kettle although it was advertised to have full amenities. We asked for a kettle and the one they gave us was terrible! It had a thick brown sludge in the bottom and generally looked like it was from out the back staff room or the like!! We refused to use it and instead opted for the stained saucepan and just boiled the life out of it! Don’t use the tap water it’s filthy we used bottled water. By the looks of the saucepan we guess that’s what people before us have done too.
When breakfast was served they would get the cups and cutlery from our kitchen then they would just rinse them and put them back in the draws! Every cup had multiple rings around them!!
Every draw and cupboard in the kitchen reaked
Of musky mouldy smell and was clearly water damaged and rotting... definitely not 4.5 star!!
The aerosol sprayed silver fridge just worked enough to keep drinks cooler than outside but not chilled like you’d expect and the freezer was warmer than the fridge.
The ceiling in the kitchen leaked and was clearly water damaged... even though they had just painted white over the top to hide it.
The ceiling in the bathroom was rotting where the water leaked right at a down light fitting... god knows how safe that was!!
When it rained heavy the water made its way through our bedroom around the bed on both sides and towards the bathroom under our bags and the floor lamp... 🙈
Be careful of every floor tiled surface as it’s incredibly slippery and dangerous, we slipped many times!!
Overall it would have been a beautiful villa in its day but not today. I did love the privacy but the quality for the dollar paid was not matched and has left us disappointed.
