Raffles Holiday Hotel

This had a lovely big, clean , room. way out of town in the country. Free tea and coffee. Great friendly , helpful staff. Great for relaxing. Breakfast was lovely.Great price. Would go again. Be a good place for a honey moon or to get away from the rush and haste of city life. They have a free shuttle to take you to shops three times a day

Old, dirty, run down, mouldy, no hot water, no Wi-Fi, no guests. Pretty much a ghost hotel. It also seems to have two names, the Sewu Nusa, part of Ubud Hideaways. Not good :( We arrived from Ubud, after one of us had got ill, wanting to get out of the city and enjoy a nice hotel after a month of backpacking. The photos looked amazing and the price looked great, a little over budget but we thought it would be worth it for a little luxury. We went for a deluxe room and headed over in a taxi (expensive also, but that's just Ubud: haggle!). When we arrived, we were convinced we were in the wrong place, it was so overgrown and not-looked-after. After finding a girl that worked there and realising it was the place, even our taxi driver asked of we just wanted to go straight back to Ubud. We were tempted, but had already paid online, so off the driver went. We'd booked that morning, but the girls in the lobby didn't have a record. They told us to log onto wifi and find our confirmation email. No Wi-Fi. This generally isn't a big deal for us, but seeing as we couldn't see any other guests at all, we were a little suspicious if we'd been wise in going there. A girl came over to take us to a room, as we walked around the back we thought it looked okay, little overgrown but that's fine. Walked into the room and thought wow, it's massive! Tv, fridge, bath tub, amazing! The girl left, and we looked closer... there were dust/ stains all over the bed, dirty counter tops, mould in the fridge. The staff came to clean as soon as we told them, so we went to chill by he pool. Again dirty, but you can see why when the place was so overgrown. when we wentnback the bed and bath were better, but countertops etc still dirty, and there was such a strong musty/dust smell we had to open all windows and doors. There were horrible smelling moth balls everywhere too!!! We took a walk, there's nothing really to see as it's on the main road. The room had a tv and dvd player so we just watched the DVD s the hotel had provided. Really nice of them, but reflects the lack of anything to do. We got dinner there, the nasi goreng was really nice, but they tried to over charge us for it. There was no hot water for us, and we wanted to leave asap the next day. The rooms and building are really impressive, just totally forgotten about and not maintained.

First time booked this hotel,I thought it will be a nice and clean hotel what I saw in the pictures.but the truth is when I came to this hotel,it was a nightmare for me coz the entrance of this hotel is look like a mess.all trash everywhere,they don't even have a security guard in front of this hotel.and when I saw the room,I got disappointed coz the room is smell awfull maybe not maybe guest stay there.i found this is a nice hotel ( actually ) but they don't have a good management.i choose not to stay at this hotel because I was afraid.maybe they have to try fix the hotel and it will become a good hotel again.
