We cannot praise THE DAMAI highly enough. It is a real gem in the hills above Lovina. The staff are incredibly friendly – in true Balinese style – and perfectly trained. The service is simply outstanding. The world-class cuisine is fantastic; the dishes have been created by a renowned Danish top chef who visits once a year to devise new dishes. Despite the hotel having been around for quite a few years, the villas are in excellent condition and everything works perfectly (including the Wi-Fi :-) A visit to the spa is highly recommended; it’s a special retreat and the treatments are fantastic. There’s something magical about this whole place; it nourishes both body and soul.

The Damai was one of the most memorable stays I had in Bali. Located in the peaceful hills of Lovina, The Damai feels completely different from the busy areas of Bali. The surroundings are beautifully green and quiet, making it a perfect place to slow down and relax. What I loved most was the atmosphere. The property is surrounded by nature, and the traditional Balinese-style architecture blends beautifully with the environment. It really felt like a hidden piece of paradise. The food was also excellent. Both the dinner and breakfast were beautifully prepared, and I especially enjoyed being able to have a relaxing meal while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout my stay, which made the experience even more special. I also had the opportunity to join the dolphin-watching experience arranged through The Damai. Seeing dolphins in the waters of Lovina was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and surrounded by nature, away from the crowds of Bali, I would definitely recommend The Damai. It is a place where you can truly slow down and enjoy Bali in a different way. I would love to come back again in the future.

Wonderful place Boutique hotel with balinese cosy decoration. Very quiet, perfect to rest It’s also very close to Lovina beach I stay just one night and it’s not enough. The service is perfect, all of the staff are very kind
