New Pondok Sara Villas

Our stay at New Pondok Sara Villas in Seminyak was unfortunately very disappointing and did not meet expectations for the price we paid. The villa itself felt very dated and poorly maintained. There was visible mould on the shower head, the toilet was old and discoloured, and overall cleanliness was not up to standard. The amenities were also lacking — the same soap was provided for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash, which felt quite basic for a villa stay. The private pool was another letdown, as it had visible algae and did not feel clean or inviting to use. One of the most frustrating experiences was with the staff. We left the key in the room before heading out, but upon returning, housekeeping claimed they could not find it. Despite the key being left inside the villa, we were charged 50K for it, which felt unfair and poorly handled. Overall, the staff did not come across as warm or welcoming, and we did not feel supported when issues were raised. Breakfast was below average, with only a basic American breakfast option — canned beans, sausage, and eggs. The only juice options were pineapple and watermelon, and coffee was not included. When we asked about coffee, we were told (quite rudely) to make it ourselves in the room, or pay extra (25K), which was disappointing. For the price charged, this property does not offer good value. There are many better villas in Seminyak that provide higher standards, better service, and a more enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying here.

We are frequent travelers for more than 30 years. This is a magic place to stay, not due to any luxury, but due to the people working there. The warmest welcome from the best reception team ever, high level of communication skills. They really take care and make you feel so good, every day at any time. Cleaning is spotless and all yhe employees work very hard. Thank you all and in spesial Sri, Eka & Erna. Look forward to see you soon!

Fantastic value for money, quiet and peaceful away from any traffic noise. Staff make this place extra special with their knowledge, kindness and fabulous sense of humour. Special mention of Charlie Brown, (cocktail, awesome barman), Artie (driver with amazing patience and wonderful tourguide for us), G'day our gardener does an amazing job as does G'day whom looks after all of the pools here. Beautiful, kind reception staff, happy to help with any requests or needs. Thank you for looking after us. Kindest regards Lani and David (Australia)
