Artini Cottages 1

If you're looking for cheap accommodation then this is for you. Artini Cottages 1 is clean and very modest. The room is inside the family compound and there are certainly a few people about - particularly children - so no sleep ins!. The family keep to themselves. They are respectful of your space. As there is no breakfast or any food for that matter you need to venture out. Directly accross the road is a vegan cafe where they do fantastic food and my favourite Tulsi Tea - great for any one with a bit of Bali belly. I booked for two nights but only stayed one. For a little extra cash you can find something a little more comfortable.

We stayed 5 days. Rating 1 is really a traditional Balinese family compound in which a couple of the houses have been opened up to rent to tourists to make a bit of money. We found the outside of the rooms to be stunning and comfortable with most of our in hotel time spent on the patio. The room itself is a bit average and run down as others have said but very comfortable and reasonably priced for a couple. This is still a family home so if you have a problem with children running around and playing you may want to look elsewhere. The location is good for Ubud, especially if you plan to spend time at the yoga barn. We liked it well enough.

Unlike artini 2, i think artini 1 a bit run down, i was being served by a staff that not really know how to explain well. They dont have proper front desk, a bit dissappointed with the amount of money they charged
