This is a very nice hotel with a great restaurant and very friendly staff. There are 2 things that stop it being a 5/5 for me - no access to the beach and also not enough sun beds by the pool. The pool is lovely but we had to lay on the grass. Theee is space for more sun beds so this could be rectified. The restaurant was great. We had the 1 metre Sate platter which was lovely!

Lovely hotel, great pool, lovely rooms and wonderful breakfast. Some work being done on the lift but the staff carried the bags up the stairs, so no problem

We’ve just returned from our 4th trip to Bali and we’ve spent time in a host of locations over the years from Lombok to Sidemen to the Gili islands but we have always finished our holidays with some “Ramayana time”. This resort has managed to make each of our trips that bit special with its great staff, stunning grounds, impeccable service and attention to detail. I also really appreciate the architectural aesthetic with its fusion of classic Balinese design and modern touches. My partner and I enjoyed a junior suite while our older children were upgraded to a garden view villa which was appreciated. Suite guests also enjoy a beautiful afternoon tea daily which we found excellent on several occasions… nice touch Ramayana ! Like others I was a bit surprised that there were construction works happening on the new waterfront walkway nearby and would rather we had been advised prior but in the end we found the disruptions only a minor downside as they seemed to ebb and flow in noise levels during the day. As others have noted the location is not ideal if one wishes to go to central Candidasa but the walk is easy if your fit, and taxi fares cheap if you are less able. The breakfast buffet is excellent with eggs cooked to your liking and all the usual other options . Their restaurant and bar are both fine but we tended mostly to dine off site and would recommend Warung Bintang about a 15min walk away or Joglo bar and restaurant a bit further away ( Joglo will send a comp taxi if you request which is nice). Lastly more sunbeds around the pool are needed. My son commented that while they used the gym a lot the lack of others activities was a negative. Having just played Pickle ball in Amed we think that would be a great addition for what is a great resort.
