Great location on Monkey Forest Road, beautiful gardens. I stayed in a ground floor room (208) opposite the pool. It was clean enough but felt a bit stark. And although the bathroom looked recently renovated, the whole room smelt like mould. The pool also looked a bit slimy so I opted not to swim, which really sucked. Based on other terrible reviews about the food, I booked without breakfast, as there are heaps of cafes in the immediate area anyway. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ubud Inn Cottages and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud. The location is incredible — only a couple of minutes walk downhill to Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, passing so many wonderful restaurants and shops along the way, and about a ten minute slightly uphill walk to Ubud Art Market. There were lots of cheeky monkeys out in the street and around the front of the hotel which was such a fun part of the Ubud experience. We didn’t see any within the hotel grounds themselves, although we made sure not to leave food out. The staff were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating throughout our stay. We requested to move to a lower ground floor room as we were travelling with two young children and felt nervous about the second-storey rooms due to the height and wide railings. The staff were more than happy to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. The rooms are clean and have a lovely traditional Balinese feel. This is not a five-star luxury hotel, but it is clean, comfortable and very well air-conditioned. The linen was always fresh and changed daily. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature, but the absolute highlight of the property is the grounds themselves. The original gardens have been beautifully maintained and are absolutely stunning. Combined with the friendly staff, the atmosphere is so peaceful and special — I genuinely could have spent an entire day just relaxing amongst the immaculate gardens. Thank you to everyone at Ubud Inn Cottages for such a lovely stay. We will definitely return.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room we had, 217, was opposite the pool on the 1st floor. It was a very large room, I did miss a seat in it. On the balcony, there was a seat. The decoration could be a little cozier. Large bathroom and toilet. The bed was lovely, No insects or vermin seen. The staff is present all day long about the beautiful park, busy making everything perfect. The monkeys are not shot, but are chased away by the blast of the gun.. The breakfast and coffee is really Balinese, don't imagine too much of that, the coffee is not filtered here, so also mud on the bottom. I reported this to the reception, they would do something with it. Starbucks is down the street, so we drank our coffee there for little. We have been here 1 week, the pool was lovely, the staff funny, cheerful and we v do everything for you. We love to come back here again!!
