Sarasvati Hotel Borobudur

I stayed at Sarasvati Hotel Borobudur and overall had a very pleasant experience with great staff hospitality. I booked a hotel transfer service from Yogyakarta in advance. The driver picked me up smoothly, which was a great start. When checking in, I tried to pay for the transfer using a credit card, but the card machine's battery was dead. The staff asked me to pay the following morning after 9:00 AM when the technical staff arrived. While it was a minor inconvenience, the situation was handled politely and I was able to settle the payment the next morning without any trouble. The breakfast offered about three menu choices (such as Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, and Soto Ayam), along with a choice of preferred dining time. Since my schedule was busy and I couldn't sit down for a slow breakfast at the restaurant on any of the days, the staff kindly packed my breakfast into boxes so I could eat on the go in the car. This flexible service was wonderfully convenient and deeply appreciated! As for the facilities, the hotel itself has a historic and slightly aged charm, so items like the towels felt a bit worn out. However, considering the warm service and helpful staff, it was a comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel to travelers visiting the Borobudur area! 日本語訳（ご参考用） サラスヴァティ ホテル ボロブドゥールに滞在しましたが、全体的にスタッフのホスピタリティが素晴らしく、快適な滞在となりました。 事前にジョグジャカルタからのホテル送迎サービスを予約していました。ドライバーさんがスムーズに迎えに来てくれてとても助かりました。チェックイン時に送迎代金をクレジットカードで支払おうとしたところ、端末のバッテリーが切れており、「明日朝9時以降にスタッフが来てから支払ってほしい」と言われました。少し不便ではありましたが、丁寧に対応してもらい、翌朝問題なく支払うことができました。 朝食はナシゴレン、ミーゴレン、ソトアヤムなど約3種類の選択肢があり、食べる時間も希望を聞いてくれます。日程の都合で連日レストランでゆっくり食べる時間がなかったのですが、スタッフさんが親切に朝食をボックスにパックしてくれたため、移動中の車内で食べることができました。この柔軟な対応は本当にありがたく、とても助かりました！ 設備に関しては、歴史があるホテルということもあり、タオル類などに少し年季（傷み）を感じる部分はありました。しかし、温かいサービスと親切なスタッフのおかげで気持ちよく過ごせました。 ボロブドゥールエリアを訪れる旅行者にぜひおすすめしたいホテルです！

We enjoyed our time in this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the room is clean and comfortable.

Old, tired colonial styled hotel in desperate need of refurb. Rooms are old with cracked walls and dusty corners, aircon barely works and room smells like cigarette after being ‘cleaned’(suspect the cleaners were smoking). Potential to be an amazing hotel but sadly underdeliver. Price OK. Located next to Borobudur. Buffet styled breakfast options are OK.
