Decent Stay Initially, But Deeply Disappointed by the Restaurant Service on the Last Day ​ ​Overall, my stay at Midtown Hotel Surabaya was quite comfortable during the first few days—the room was clean and the location is strategic. However, that good impression was completely ruined on my final morning due to the extremely poor and unprofessional service at the restaurant. ​A few major issues really ruined the experience: ​Extremely Slow & Inattentive Egg Station Staff: I ordered a medium-well boiled egg and waited for over 30 minutes, yet it was never served. When I looked over, the staff at the egg station were working painfully slow and were too busy chatting among themselves instead of focusing on serving guests. ​Tables Cleared Without Asking: To make matters worse, our table was cleared away while we were still eating. Not a single waiter bothered to ask if we were finished before taking everything off the table. ​Poor Coordination Among the Staff: There seemed to be a complete lack of communication and coordination among the waitstaff. The service felt chaotic, rushed, and totally careless regarding guest comfort. ​It is truly disappointing for a hotel like Midtown to have such sloppy service standards in their dining area. Leaving on such a sour note ruined the entire stay. ​Management urgently needs to evaluate and retrain their restaurant team—especially the egg station staff and waiters—so other guests don't have to deal with this.

It's a nice hotel, it's comfortable, it's convenient in the middle of town.
