Le Grandeur Balikpapan

the hotel is well well well past it’s prime. severely neglected and ceilings rotting away and cover with white tarps to hide the mold. pretty disgusting to say the least. the stupidity of horrid maintenance is mind boggling but sadly this is indonesia and normally how things are done. any health department innany civilized country would cloes them down in an instant. mold is a known health hazzard and unless they fix it then i recommend finding another place to stay but as a forewarning you really need to see the interior of a place and check all reviews BEFORE BOOKING !!

Hotel is very dirty because of no maintenance Dirty shower with little animals Fungi everywhere (ceiling,bad,wall) Carpet amazingly dirty Sigaret burning holes in blanket Massage who dear to ask extra money above the fee and tip Beach bar doesn't exist anymore so no beach facilities Swimming dangerous because of bad maintenance The pictures on there website and booking sites are old or manipulated it's totally not what you get. Must say, after we want to go out of the hotel to another hotel, we got a upgrade which was better but not how a 4star hotel should be. We except it but it should not be like that. My advice don't book this hotel!!!!!!

Maybe this hotel has been very successful in the past, given its location on the beach and the area it occupies. But this hotel to be so depressing because of poor maintenance. The only interesting thing about this hotel is its easy access to the culinary center of Balikpapan City.
