Big Hotel Jakarta

We stayed her for a nite as our transit from Bandung before fly back to KL. It is a budget hotel. Not a recommended hotel to stay as the room is small, no kettle provided , only mineral water. The bathroom is quite dirty with only soap and tooth brush available. The berakfast is ok however with simple buffet. The hotel is far from airport about 1 hour to airport if he traffic is ok.

This is not just a first or second time i booked this hotel, i feel so warm and comfort everytime I stay here, its maybe my 10 or more times I stay here, but this time I really feel si Disappointed to stay here and make me things twice if I want to stay here again.. Check-in : around 20.00 The reception give me room 124 , 1 hours I stay and its verry HOT at the room, the air condition not working right, I call operator and ask a help, the engineer come and help me to check the AC, and he said " if 30 minutes still not work please call the operator again " after 30 minutes still hot and not working, i call operator again and ask for help but no one comes to my room till 15 minutes, i decided to go down and ask a reseption, the reception call the engineer and i hear the engineer say he's give him best but the AC still can't work and request to the reception to give me another room, but the reception still don't give me a room, till 22.00 my husband angry because we want to rest, finally the reception give us a new room ( 620 ) , he said the boys room will help us to move to the new room, I wait till 15 minutes and no one help us, so i go down again and i ask about my key , and he ask the security to help us.. because the computer is blank so they can't give us the key!!! What the heck , it's oke for the night , still the nice room.. till the morning i go down to breakfast and want to go back to the room, i ask the same reception to help me open my room cause i still don't have my room key, and u know what!! The master key can't open my room too!! Because the door handle is lowbat!!! Why a lots of you cant check this handle ?!!! Its a electronic so u must to check everydayy!! He ask me to wait 10 minutes its a 7.49, and i must to meeting at 09.30 and u know? Till 8.30 they still cant open my room, and now 08.50 they break the handle so it can open, but i cant close my door till i checkout! Its so funny , please check your hotels so ur loyal customer still back here..

Check in: We had a little trouble checking in, although I admit that there must be also a problem with my credit card that's why I used cash. (But when I used my credit card at the mall to buy shoes, it worked.) Key cards: some rooms have trouble with key cards, some didn't work and when we seek assistance, it will work and on the next day, same trouble occurs. Staff: Amazingly friendly and approachable but honestly speaking, some people are very hard to understand english. (Welcome to Jakarta!) Rooms: They are not really clean although it is a lil but fine to stay. If you will be charging your gadgets, check the sockets, because in our room, we don't have their connector socket with corresponding voltage and when we ask the front desk they said they will bring us (unfortunately, it is a misunderstanding) so we charge our phone thru USB connected to the television. on the next day, we brought my camera charger to front desk for them to know what we really need and yes, atlast they understood us. and we have to give atleast 50 idr for the deposit. Breakfast: I suggest, book with breakfast. meals are fine instad of going outside without nowhere to find meal early in the morning. we usually eat our breakfast around 8-9 am then leave the hotel around 10-11 am to roam around the city and have our lunch around 2pm coz we have heavy breakfast. Thumbs up: During our visit in Hong Kong one of the hardest thing we encounter was buying a drinkable water, coz it is really expensive outside, but upon arrival here in Big Hotel, they offer free mineral water and not just that. there's a water dispenser near the elevator where you can refill your water bottles and it helps us a lot coz every time we went outside, we will just bring water and we don't have to buy it. What a life saver and money saver also. :)
