When I saw photos on the website, it looked idyllic. Ocean views, large pool ( with no one in it) , large gardens. BUT the reality is very different. Morning and night 80 or so kids and locals use the pool. So not only can you not use the pool but it is very noisy from screaming kids. The pool ( when you can use it) around midday or 6am, is heavy chlorinated due to the number of young kids using it ( if you understand what I mean) . My room was good apart from NO bar fridge . How can you charge 1 million a night and not provide a bar fridge is beyond me. The staff are what save this hotel, they are great. This hotel could be very good but it will not appeal to western tourists, under current management practices. A real shame. Also precook any trips before you get here. Very few travel agents locally, speak english. Bengkulu has great tourist potential.
