Simple hotel, good welcome, basic room but clean bedding, small balcony overlooking the lake: noisy until 11 p.m.: karaoke and large family Hot water limited depending on schedules Few restaurants nearby apart from Warung and hotel restaurants which all serve the same food. Parapat is a city where you don't linger: poorly organized, dirty, nothing to do there You must be motorized to enjoy the surroundings Samosir is much friendlier for a long stay

Very disappointing. All we wanted was clean and basic accommodation for one night, but this was damp and grubby with no protection against mosquitos. The other guests were families who cooked in their rooms and left their rubbish piled up outside. We were woken from a pretty poor night's sleep not only by the muslim call to prayer, which happens everywhere in Indonesia, but also by the Christian community immediately afterwards. As far as I can tell their entire service was conducted via bullhorn, completely ruining what little peace remains in this over-built spot. Oh, and it's not within easy walking distance of Tigaraja. I enjoy a good walk, if I can get away from traffic, but this was a nightmare for me and much too far for my more normal companions.

Had an opportunity to stay here for a night. Overall satisfying stay. Room was spacious and clean for two person. The only downside is the internet is slow and must be connected in the common area. For convenience store and eateries, one has to walk about 10-15mins to the main road. The hotel is also very near the ferry transiting to Samosir Island. Hope this information helps.
