Visually this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in Indonesia. There are really beautiful grounds in a lovely setting. The room was comfortable but a little dated. Only one plug socket. Toilet was hard to flush and the hot water temperamental. Pool was really nice. It was very quiet (we were the only people there). The mosquito net had a lot of holes in it which made it useless and one night an enormous mosquito got in and attacked us (thing seriously looked like it had been on steroids) Their WiFi is only available within a 2m radius of the office (not experienced this anywhere else in Indonesia). They also didn’t inform us they switch it off in the evenings and I had promised to make an important call home. I was rather patronisingly told I could try in the morning at which time it would be the middle of the night at home so wouldn’t work. I found the owner nice but the other staff a bit unfriendly. They kept asking where we were going next and seemed cross we hadn’t decided and didn’t want to book transportation with them (hard to make onward travel decisions in the modern world with no WiFi!). I think they could at least extend the WiFi to the restaurant. Overall it was nice for a couple of days but we did not want to stay longer. Lovely coffee and breakfast but it’s not included and is expensive. Feels more like a hotel than a homestay - no access to things like water refills, kitchen facilities or ability to make own hot drinks you get in most indo home stays. It’s a little hard to find and the google maps location is a road to far along. Think they should put a sign up. They give you some good tips about Pangandaran.

Adam's Homestay is located not far away from the beach in Pangandaran. I came in during the week and was the only guest so they offered me a 15% Discount on the regular price. The garden is really beautiful and well taken care of which makes it a great place to relax. Kirsten and Adam, the owners, put a lot of effort in maintaining the whole facility which features small ponds with water plants and fountains, statues from religious and art background and fascinating flowers and trees. The pool is big enough for a little swim but I would recommend to do that in the morning since it heats up quiet a bit during the day. The breakfast area is situated in a small pavilion like area behind the reception where Kirsten serves several delicious choices in the morning. WiFi is only available in the reception area, which I think could be extended at least to the breakfast area. I stayed 3 nights in room number 8 which is in the back of the garden, overlooking the pool from a small balcony. The room was individually furnished and clean. The AC was working very well and the shower had hot and cold water. The bed was quite comfortable and there was even a small refrigerator in the corner. Unfortunately the mosquito net had some holes and in my opinion the bathrooms needs some maintenance to get the great looks from former times back. The chairs on the balcony could also need some paint or some kind of renewal. But altogether I can really recommend Adam's Homestay for a short or longer stay in the Pangandaran Area since Kirsten and Adam are doing a great job.

Super homey place to stay. Kirsten and staffs were so helpful. Me and friends so in love with this home stay. It clean, cozy, and near from the beach. There are many books (English and Germany) you could read or buy. Also the pool was so good for relaxing-time. Easy to find this home stay.
