I just stayed here for one night, but I must say, it was a fabulous one. First thing was frankly I hardly got time to experience the property properly as I arrived late in the evening and left in a hurry at morning 9 AM. However what I want to rave about is the staff. This is the kind of service which spoils you.... Empathy these days have died these days in the hotel industry, but not at Sudamala. At arrival the staff took care of me, I was in a frustrated state of mind, as I lost my whole day to flight delay. They empathised with me and tried to put me at ease, with a 15 min complimentary massage. Really helped me get back in a good state. They also arranged for an early morning spa session , just because I was feeling bad that I was leaving too early. (the spa opens at 9 AM, but they requested the management to make an exception for me at 7 AM). Post my SPA session in the morning my airlines again gave me the bad time of my life by delaying my flight to KL and again the ladies at the front office came to rescue. Tried every bit to help me by trying to the airline office who speaks only Bahasa and later bring in a taxi driver to the airport, checked me out like an army on a mission. All this being done and parallely keeping me calm as well as making me know how sorry they are for my ordeal. I was too stressed to remember their name, but I stayed there for the night of 1st July, and the people handling front office in the evening and morning, thanks for being the best in hospitality industry and keep doing the good work with your guests. I will be back for sure, just for experiencing the property more next time.

We had originally only booked a few nights, but had to extend our stay due to an unforeseen medical incident with our son. Looking back, we were very glad to be exactly here. We would especially like to highlight the hotel manager, Mr. Azhari, and the executive chef, Juan. Both took time every day to speak personally with the guests, to inquire about their well-being, and to ensure that they lacked nothing. After our son returned from the hospital, they sincerely and repeatedly asked about his condition and whether we needed anything. This honest sympathy was by no means put on, but from the heart – and touched us deeply in a difficult situation. The entire team was also exceptionally warm and attentive. Anyone looking for an ultra-modern luxury resort without the slightest sign of wear and tear might not be in the right place here. However, anyone looking for a well-maintained, well-kept facility with lots of charm, exceptionally warm staff, a team that is open to feedback, and very good food at fair prices will feel right at home here. That is exactly why we canceled a stay we had already planned and spent three additional nights here instead. The pool is pleasantly large, the sea is beautiful, and the entire atmosphere is very relaxing. Directly in front of the hotel, there is no classic sandy beach—depending on the tides—as the water sometimes reaches up to the seawall. However, that didn't bother us at all. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available by the pool, and a beautiful sandy beach is only about 150 meters away. We preferred to spend our time relaxing by the pool and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Many thanks to Mr. Azhari, Executive Chef Juan, and the entire team for the exceptional hospitality. You made our stay something very special despite the difficult circumstances. We would love to come back.
