Highbury House

This lovely home and family welcomed us with open arms. The rooms had king beds and loveseats, very roomy! The breakfasts were amazing and made to order. If you stay here you do not have access to public transportation but they have plenty of parking.

Highbury House, Claire Co. This house is absolutely lovely!!! Our friendly host greeted us immediately and gave us a tour of the house. Speechless – huge rooms, very clean, toiletry items as needed, in room coffee or tea. Beautiful grounds. We happened to be the only guests for that evening so the house was extremely quiet. You are only about a 3-4-minute drive from the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where there is plenty of food and drinks. The beds were king size and the most comfortable of the 7-day trip. Lovely full Irish Breakfast while listening to actual records of Irish music on the record player. This was by far, my favorite B&B during our 7 day trip to Ireland. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this B&B. We flew in and out of Shannon, and this B&B is only about 20 minutes from the airport.

What a wonderful way to finish our trip to Ireland; we spent our last night here. When we arrived, Rosemary showed us to our room and took our order for breakfast. She was very warm and friendly. The room was very spacious with a couch and desk. Breakfast was delicious. Extremely close to Bunratty Castle so it was very convenient to get to and from our banquet dinner at the castle. The only thing that we didn’t like was that you can only access the driveway from the M/N18 so if you missed it, you had to do a big loop around to go in the right direction again. I would absolutely recommend Highbury to family and friends and would love to stay here again.
