Commodore

Stayed in the commodore for 2 nights and booked the Westbourne suite… while the suite was beautiful - the room Was way too warm with no air conditioning or fan in the room it made it very uncomfortable. When the window Was open we did not realise before we booked the close proximity to The pub a few doors down and it was very loud and did not quieten down till after 2….. the hair dryer did not also work in the room…also the fire alarm went off in the room early in the morning….

Beautiful location! Besides that, very disappointing. The rooms were sooo hot. The window doesn’t provide any relief because no cross-breeze. We finally opened the window and propped the door open with the luggage rack. We asked for fans, as suggested by AI but they only have one or two and we didn’t request before we arrived. Too bad. The staff just weakly apologizes for the shortcomings. The room is worn out and could be set up better. There’s a desk, a table and 2 chairs, and a wardrobe. Here’s a suggestion: get rid of the desk and put a dresser in its spot. Remove the wardrobe and replace with a night stand and lamp. There are no plugs next to the beds; a common expectation in this tech-age. We are a family of 6 who booked 3 rooms- one couple is planning to leave to find a better option- they were literally sweating and red-faced after 15 minutes in their room.

I went for a meal this evening with my son. It was really nice top quality but what i remember the most was a young waiter named Liam. He was extremley helpful courteous and friendly. A keeper.
