Glengarriff Eccles

We honestly can't thank everyone at the Eccles Hotel enough for making our wedding day so special. From the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands, and on the day itself everything was even better than we could have imagined. A huge thank you to Mags, our wedding coordinator, who was absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she was always there to answer our questions, kept everything running so smoothly, and made the whole planning process completely stress-free. She genuinely went above and beyond for us, and we're so grateful for everything she did. The staff were incredible from start to finish. Every single member of the team was so friendly, professional and helpful, and they really couldn't do enough for us or our guests. So many people commented afterwards on how attentive everyone was and how beautiful the food and service were. The Eccles Hotel is such a stunning place to get married, and the atmosphere on the day was just perfect. It felt so personal, relaxed and welcoming, and that's all thanks to the amazing team behind it. Darra & Jamie

We dined in the Bayview terrace tonight. I ordered beef fritters to start, hubby ordered chowder, followed by Hake for me & Featherblade steak for him. Unfortunately, the Indian spices used dominated everything, even the chowder (how can you get chowder wrong). The fritters were sour (only way to describe them), & the chowder was overpowered by the spices. The fish itself was fine & hubby managed to eat the meat, but the spices ruined everything else.....inedible. The male server noticed the amount of food left on the plates & asked if it was ok. We honestly told him it tasted awful due to the spices. He just removed the dishes. Needless to say, we were charged full price (& it's not cheap). In contrast, the female servers were fantastic and the setting is lovely. Just don't go for the food.

The location of this Hotel is perfect. Can walk to Town Centre, also to Harbour for boat to Garnish Island. Free parking. Greeted by a lovely lady at the front desk and from there on all the staff were absolutely wonderful. The Hotel had a lovely happy atmosphere. Our room was at the top, what a view. Very comfortable bed, everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our Spa treatment we enjoyed so much, girls here were also so very nice and professional in their work. Good value at price paid. We will not leave so long to return to this Eccles Hotel and beautiful West Cork. Thanks to everybody at Eccles.
