I stayed at Dillon’s and unfortunately the experience was nowhere near worth the €190 price tag. The bar drinks were overpriced at €8 a glass, and Blake’s bar across the street blasted loud thumping music until 10pm. Any chance of rest after that was ruined when the council started cleaning the main street at 6am with a lorry‑type machine, you’d expect the hotel to have some sort of arrangement to avoid this. The room itself was tired and poorly maintained: the ironing board was broken, a coat hanger fell apart, bathroom tiles were loose, grout on the floor was dirty, and the shower only produced lukewarm water. Minor damage around the room had clearly been left unrepaired, adding to the overall worn feel. The walls felt thin as I could clearly hear other guests during my stay in the room. Breakfast was another disappointment. Several food bays were empty for far too long, meaning I had to go back up to get items that should have been available the first time. Staff ignored me until I had to call out for a cup of tea , even though they served someone who arrived after me. When leaving, only one staff member was present and on the phone, so I ended up just leaving the keys on the counter without a proper checkout. They also emailed asking for excessive personal information before arrival, so I had to check in manually at the desk. Overall, this stay was frustrating from start to finish. I would not recommend Dillon’s hotel
