We had such a lovely girls getaway at the Mount Errigal in July and honestly couldn’t fault it from start to finish. There were five of us and we’re already talking about going back! After checking in, we had a delicious lunch in the newly refurbished Lillie’s restaurant before heading to Glenveagh for a walk. We came back, got ready and had dinner and cocktails in the bar, which was amazing. We had planned to head into town afterwards, but the live music in the hotel was so good we ended up staying there for the night! The location is ideal too, with the town only around a 10–15 minute walk away. The next morning we made use of the leisure facilities, which were the perfect start to the day. There’s a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, plunge pool and 20m swimming pool. Such a beautiful hotel with lovely staff who made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Would definitely recommend for a getaway and can’t wait to return!

I wouldn’t class this hotel a 4 star 3 star at most. The room we had was big enough but the heat in the room was unbearable. The breakfast was not great at all the black pudding was like eating grains no taste to it. Not work the £200 a night we paid for it.

Shocking room for a 4 star hotel. Glass broken on one window, severe damage to another window. Room had a smell of smoke and damp. Right next to an entrance way on the floor and horrendous banging from 7am. Extremely small double room looking into a 4 walled courtyard that looked like a prison. Will never be back and will never recommend. Complained upon check out and were various other complaints with other guests. I felt very sorry for the front of house staff as they are first point of contact and not their fault.
