My wife and son stayed here and they loved it . The rooms a clean , comfortable and well proportioned and the food on offer was a joy .

I stayed here over Easter and, unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing experience from start to finish. The issues began in our room. When getting ready, my partner had to physically hold the shower pull-out just to keep the water flowing. While frustrating, it wasn’t a deal-breaker on its own. We went out for the evening, had a great night, and returned to the hotel around 12:30am. In the residents’ bar, my partner asked the bartender if they sold crisps or nuts. The response was simply, “No.” We then asked if we could order drinks. The bartender replied, “Residents?” We confirmed we were and provided our room number. I ordered a double Baileys and was served it in a pint glass with ice. It’s certainly not how you would expect drinks to be served in a four-star hotel, but we let it go. We ordered three more drinks and paid the bill. When my partner requested a receipt, she was handed only the card payment receipt. She then asked for an itemised receipt and was told “No” before the card receipt was simply placed on the drip tray at the bar. The level of rudeness was shocking and completely unacceptable. After our stay, I contacted the hotel to raise my concerns but received no response. My partner also contacted them through their website and again received no response. As I was due to stay there again for my cousin’s wedding, I wanted to know how these issues were being addressed. When I eventually called, I was told that the person responsible for handling complaints was on holiday and would contact me upon their return. A week passed, and I still heard nothing. As a result, I cancelled my booking and stayed at the Radisson Blu instead. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. After speaking with family members who stayed at this hotel for the wedding, I felt completely justified in my decision. My sister described her room as being like a sauna, while my aunt had the opposite problem and said her room was freezing. That’s before even mentioning an incident involving a fall from a disabled toilet. My advice is simple: save yourself the disappointment and book the Radisson Blu instead. The food, bar, and rooms were excellent, and most importantly, you feel valued as a guest. I can honestly say I will never stay at this hotel again, and I will actively encourage my friends and family to stay elsewhere.
