Mother and daughter girls trip, stayed last night in room 314. Very welcoming lady on the reception desk, asked for ID and card to pop on file. Room right up on the top floor, decor lovely and very clean, our room did have an iron scorch mark on the carpet and as silly as it sounds I spoke with reception as I didnt want to be billed for something I hadn't done. The gent said they were aware. The windows do open, and was definitely needed as it was roasting. They need to be pulled quite sharply from the top (I thought i was breaking it) Bathroom is clean, two beautifully clean towels and just the 1 smaller one (hand towel) xould have done with another for hair but I didnt ask for more (I'm sure they would have provided) The only thing I would note is that it said toiletries provided, we only had 2 shampoos, and hadn't brought shower gel with us, so perhaps pack some. Bed is super comfy, only 1 pillow each (and again I could have asked for another but we were only staying for one night). Good hairdryer and a tea tray provided. Overall, a very nice stay and we would return.

Only a good hotel for those planning on staying out late at night. Not good for a gentle city break. Be prepared for a sleepness night. Pack noise cancelling headphones. I was prepared but still woke multiple times throughout the night. You can’t relax here when the nightclub is open it is so so loud. And the staff are hostile, I guess because they are always being complained at. Dark dingy rooms with little ventilation. Comfortable bed, good shower, clean bathroom, great location.

It’s clear reviews are mixed but having stayed here I am staggered at the positive reviews posted. This is a staggeringly poor hotel, rooms tired and poorly appointed. Other negative reviews have flagged the noise pollution from the nightclub and bars which make sleep impossible even if the pillows actually had some stuffing in them! One light switch by the front door, two switches to operate the one bathroom light though? No beside tables and power sockets at random heights and locations around the room but not where you need them. No shelf or space in bathroom for any toiletries or in shower. Checkin is as weird as others have commented, you are required to supply your ID and your credit card. The hotel take a copy of both so assume they have had people leave without paying. There is WiFi but they don’t tell you that on arrival and there is nothing in the room to tell you the code. One very important rickety lift as all rooms appear to be on 3rd floor. I agree with others dodgy first impression on arrival which doesn’t go away and you can’t help but feel mugged once you get to the room and see what you have paid for… and then the noise that means no sleep. Is it the worst hotel I have stayed in. Sadly it really is after 40 years of international travel
