First impressions of this hotel as you approach it are not that great, doesnt have the big chain hotel vibe, but that dissolves away once you are inside. Check in staff were friendly and gave exactly the amount of information required, although the parking is a bit quirky - you have to pull up outside and check in before getting parking passes, the staff talked me through that just fine. We had two rooms booked - a double and a twin. The double was a standard double, very comfortable bed, bed linen that was clean, soft, comfortable and the pillows were just to my liking. The twin ended up being a twin suite rather than a standard twin with full walk in shower room. I dont know if the hotel was in a quiet period or the rooms are incredibly well sound proofed, but I heard no sound from either side, or from the corridor - a very pleasant experience. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet, with the hot food cooked in small batches which means it wasnt hanging around under heat lamps for long periods. If anything ran out it was replaced very very quickly. We needed to find a place to eat on Saturday night, but the breakfasts experience had us deciding to eat in the hotel rather than go somewhere else. Again the food was tasty, well cooked and presented and good value for money - approx €25-30 per head which is fine and very comparable with other hotels, maybe even on the slightly cheaper side. Overall a great stay, and to be honest a little bit of a gem if you need somewhere to stay prior to a flight, or have business on the north side of the city. I have to work there again in 2 weeks and I will be staying here.

We chose this hotel for our last night in Dublin because it was close to the airport, we had an early flight, and the price included a complimentary airport shuttle. The room and bathroom were clean, and we appreciated the complimentary bottled water and the tea- and coffee-making facilities. There was, however, a minor issue with the water flow from the rainfall showerhead. Unfortunately, our experience at reception was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, the receptionist informed us that the shuttle had seats available for only three members of our group. We explained that we had requested the transfer when making the booking, 15 days in advance, and showed him the confirmation where our request was clearly stated. Nevertheless, he kept insisting that we should have requested it one day before departure—something we had never been informed about. After a lengthy discussion, I asked to speak to the manager. He replied that there was no one else and that he was the person responsible for the shuttle. He then told us, in a particularly sarcastic manner, that he would remove a family from the shuttle to make room for us and send them to the airport by taxi. He even asked us sarcastically, “Are you happy now?” The problem was not only the initial lack of available seats, but mainly the way we were treated, despite having submitted our request well in advance and having written confirmation. His behaviour was rude, sarcastic and completely unprofessional. As we stayed at the hotel for fewer than eight hours, we did not have the opportunity to use or properly evaluate its other facilities and services. Although the hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and the room met our basic needs, the way the shuttle issue was handled made our overall experience extremely unpleasant.

We booked the stay, park & fly package and I would not book any of this again. Firstly the rooms are fine, no issues there. Now the negative; the room key card did not work multiple times so had to go back down to reception. The people we met at reception did not appear to speak English too well and thought we had a different issue. The toilet in reception is disgusting. You have to book the airport shuttle, which we did, only to come down the next morning and it's full. Absolutely pointless. They either overbooked or people just got on without booking. You should have to book and then have your name checked off as you get on. If you didn't book that slot, you don't get on. When we came back, after 2 weeks, our car battery was flat. I went upstairs to reception and asked did they have a battery pack. They couldn't have been less bothered and just gave me a number for a breakdown service while speaking to each other in a different language, which is the height of rudeness. Now, do I expect all hotels to have battery packs? Absolutely not, but when you advertise as a car park for the airport, then yes I do. Other hotels that advertise this, do have them. I thought the deal was too good to be true and it was. Would not stay here again.
