Regency Hotel

We went as part of a coach tour,staying for two nights. No one came out to greet us m and the keys were just left on a table for us to pickup no contact from staff. We were told dinner was at 6.30. When we arrived, not sure where we were going,were stopped by waitress she checked and told us abruptly that dinner was not till 7.30. We protested and were told to go to the bar. No sooner had we ordered drinks we were called in. Were squashed in a small room which staff had trouble getting round and was not enough seats. Food was still not served until 7.30. Second night we were in different restaurant and service was very slow. My friends dessert was still frozen. There was no lounge to sit in the evening. Turned away from bar until we complained to reception who took us back to same bar so we could go in. Left bar earlier than we would have as they turned music up so loud it hurt our ears. Took no notice when complained. All in all, I think they didn’t really want us there. Would not recommend them to anyone. Some of waiting staff were friendly.

Female manger was very rude. She entered our room with a man when we had no clothes and she did not knock. When confronted I expected her to apologise and try to clear the situation but instead she was defensive and did not apologise, this kind of attitude should not be allowed especially being a manger. Other staff members were lovely and I will make sure to tell others to stay away from this place as it has ruined our family trip…what a big shame!

My experience in this hotel has been absolutely terrible. The staff are amazing and respectful but the manager was being absolutely disrespectful towards me and my family. We were in our rooms and they barged in without knocking claiming she did. We went down to complain and she did not apologise at all. The cleaning staff were amazing and knocked on the door and waited for us to open the door but the manager didn’t. VERY DISRESPECTFUL! I’m very disappointed because this place does have a lot of potential.
