Abbey Lee

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay at AbbeyLee. Our room was tastefully decorated overlooking the back garden. There was a welcoming common room where you could read and unwind after a long day. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a full buffet and hot menu to chose from. It was centrally located, close to the water where there were shops, restaurants and pubs and only a 5-10 minute drive to down town. Our very favorite thing were the hosts Michael and Maire; they made us feel so welcomed. They were extremely informative and helpful in giving advice and directions. They are a true example of the wonderful hospitality that the the Irish people are known for. Thank you for making our stay at Galway unforgettable!

Welcoming and friendly. Clean and comfortable room with ensuite bathroom with light and airy decor. Very quiet at night. Enjoyable breakfast. The B&B is situated in a quiet residential area of Galway. It is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk through residential streets to the seafront at Salthill where there is range of Cafes and restaurants to eat at. Unfortunately we didn't have time to venture into the city itself during our short stay.

We loved our time at Abbeylee! By far our favorite place we stayed throughout our trip in Ireland. Mike and Marie were so great - we had a lot of questions about public transportation, good restaurants, etc. and they were always willing to help. Our room was very nice and breakfast was delicious. We were also very close to everything! The bus ride into the center of Galway only took about 10 minutes, and it was very easy to drive down to the Salthill beach (4-5 minute drive and there's free parking down there too). The only slightly negative thing was that the WiFi wasn't always very strong in our room, but it worked just fine if we sat in the living room downstairs. My husband and I loved Abbeylee and would highly recommend staying there!
