Rockcrest House

What a beautiful B& B. Very clean and the breakfast was superb! Quick walk into town - just the right place for the 4 of us. Rooms were spacious and showers were great!

My friend and I stayed here for five nights as we explored Kenmare, Killarney and other places of historical interest in west Cork and Kerry. The house is only about a ten-minute walk from the bus stop—great for us since we were using public transport--but it is set back in a beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood. We appreciated being well away from late-night pub crowds. Our room was spacious and well appointed, with an excellent shower and good beds. We slept very well. Breakfasts were wonderful, especially the porridge, which was always perfect, the French press coffee and brown bread. David and Marian, their lovely daughter and charming grandchildren were friendly and obliging hosts. I recommend them and Kenmare town generally. The latter has a great bookstore, several very good boutiques and galleries and excellent food choices. Transportation to nearby towns—we went to Killarney National Park and Skibbereen to tour the Famine Heritage Center—is easy to navigate. I encourage everybody to plan a visit to Kenmare and book your stay at Rockcrest House. I would stay here again with pleasure.
