Pillo Hotel Ashbourne

We stayed for one night and our stay was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. This was our second visit, and once again everything was perfect. The hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was immaculate, the dinner was delicious, the breakfast was equally beautiful, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. I would especially like to mention Sara, who went above and beyond for us. We accidentally left our baby's DockATot in our room and only realised after visiting Emerald Park on our journey home. We turned back immediately, but when we arrived, we were told that lost property was closed for the day. I explained how important it was to get it back for our baby. Although someone had already checked the room and couldn't find it, Sara kindly left the reception desk and went to check herself. Thankfully, she found it, and we were so relieved. Her kindness, initiative, and willingness to go the extra mile meant so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you to Sara and the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable. We really appreciate everything you did for us, and we can't wait to return for another visit soon. Highly recommended!

I loved spending my wedding anniversary at the Hotel Pillo; it was very cozy and elegant, and I was very well received. I highly recommend it. And I want to thank Alessandra Maia, who is wonderful at what she does 🥰 I loved the decoration on the bed, she always nails it!

Booked 4 family rooms for a family break before our mum starts chemotherapy this coming Thursday. Arrived to the hotel absolutely packed and not a parking space in sight as an Irish dancing feis was taking place. We can appreciate this but the fact 3 of the rooms were booked the day prior via phone call to the reservation team not once was this communicated to us. We were left to park on a main road pull all suitcases in, hotel lobby was absolutely bunged people sitting on the floors not one place to relax an “unwind” we then were greats with rather unprofessional behaviour from one reception staff who clearly was very flustered an unable to cope with the situation when we said how we were so caught off guard to what we arrived to an what money we had spent we received no empathy only I can either get my manager or give you a refund? This then escalated the whole situation. We were one of many many paying guests who were returning to this hotel after having many previous great experiences to have them all made void by this one awful family experience. When we came for dinner we were told by bar staff we wouldn’t have a chance of getting seated as the dancers need to eat an they are very busy as you can see, to which I stated sorry I’m a paying customer an we were reassured that we would at the very least be able to avail of a table to atleast eat together, after again going an getting a manager this was made possible but the restaurant an staff were all very clearly over whelmed. When asked to place a drinks order we’re told they couldn’t an to go to the bar, they were setting up pop up tables for guests who also were disgusted by the whole chaos of what they paid to arrive to. After or dinner we had not one place to sit an talk amongst ourselves as you would at the very least expect from a family break away so we moved to upstairs to then be greeted with the same situation people everywhere on the floors etc an the arcade a lot of the machines out of use. Signs everywhere stating strict noise policy after 11pm was completely incorrect as we were unable to sleep until nearly 1am due to people dancing in rooms above an children running the corridor. ALOT of money spent on what should have been a great time making memories with our mum/granny before her treatment starts to leaving feeling like we wasted a trip an a lot of money with not one offer of empathy. This experience alone has left a lasting impression on our thoughts of this hotel.
