We stayed at the Golden Valley Hotel in Room 6032 for two nights, and unfortunately this was one of the disappointing hospitality experiences we experienced in recent years.
As soon as we entered the room, we discovered many cleanliness flaws: stains on the walls of the shower and the bathroom, dust accumulated over time, spiders in the lamps, a dirty coffee corner, signals and air-conditioning refrigerators sticking to the touch and a refrigerator that didn't work at all.
The situation was no better in the public areas either. Spiders were seen in the beach halls, in the sitting areas, on the dining terrace and even near the food delivery areas.
The hardest experience was on the beach. I paid for the rental of a sapp, but when I arrived to carry out the service, I was told that it could not be used. Only after a lengthy debate agreed to allow me to receive the service I had already paid for. During the sapping, I fell on equipment that was surrounded by fire ports and stuck in several areas of the body.
At the same time, some of the staff was treated kindly and professionally, especially at the reception, the spa and some of the waitress staff. So the disappointment was even greater, because there seemed to be excellent people at the hotel but significant problems with maintenance, supervision and service.
The most disappointing part came after we left. We contacted the Israel Group Canada Customer Service Center to share our experience and get an answer. The management representative who listened back to us, promised to come back to us and let us pass all the documentation and details in an orderly manner.
In the end, the feeling is that this is not a single incident or a pointed event, but rather a sequence of failures in maintenance, cleaning, service and guest care.
⭐️⭐️ out of 5 – mostly thanks to the number of staff members who really tried to help.
