We returned to the Hotel Cocoon in Pescasseroli for the second consecutive year and our experience was even more positive than the previous one. We particularly appreciated the enormous evolution for the better in management, hospitality, and, above all, the cuisine.
A special thanks goes to the owner, “Lallo”, who is always present, available, and attentive to ensuring that every guest request is met. His presence makes the hotel’s atmosphere particularly warm, familiar, and welcoming.
A pleasant surprise was also the dining room. Davide, the dining room manager, with his friendly and extroverted character, manages to add professionalism, hospitality, and that touch of color that makes dinner even more pleasant.
Compared to last year, we found the cuisine to be truly excellent, also thanks to the arrival of Chef Raffaele, who has given an extra boost to the gastronomic offerings. Alongside the traditional and excellent Abruzzese cuisine, the menu now offers greater variety and, above all, products prepared directly by the chef: desserts, cakes, and even artisanal ice creams, a truly pleasant surprise.
The hotel is also very convenient both in summer and winter: it is located near the center of Pescasseroli, the ski slopes, and numerous trails for walks and mountain hiking. Another strong point is the splendid and very large garden, ideal on sunny days for relaxing outdoors, perhaps in the company of a good book.
Ultimately, we saw truly significant growth compared to last year and were especially impressed by the quality of the management and the excellent evolution of the cuisine.
A hotel that maintains an authentic, warm, and homey atmosphere, but shows that it knows how to improve continuously. Compliments to Lallo, Davide, and Chef Raffaele: keep it up!!!
