Hotel Maja

We returned for the second year to Hotel Maja, a place we discovered by pure chance and that, from the very first stay, won us over. This year we really needed to unplug from the heat of Rome and, almost at the last minute, we decided to return to the Maja. A choice made a bit on instinct and in a last-minute way, but one that proved once again to be the best choice! The hotel is located right in front of the sea: you just have to cross the street! It is very convenient, especially for families and elderly people. Our room was super comfortable and perfect for our stay. If you are looking for a place to relax and feel at home, the Maja is truly the ideal place. Returning to the Maja is like returning to family. At the reception, there are two real gems: FABIANA and SILVIA, always professional, helpful, and ready to satisfy every need. They are certainly an added value for the property, and for us, they now represent a true point of reference. It is also thanks to them that we will definitely return for our third year! And then… the food! WOW! 🤩 This year, Chef Francesco delighted and pampered us in a spectacular way. Dishes were always fresh, prepared with care, and truly delicious. The buffet was always super well-stocked, and every day the two pasta options were spectacular. My favorite evening? Definitely Friday, with dinner completely based on fish! And for those who don't like fish, there is always the possibility of having an alternative. A round of applause also for the attention to gluten-free: you are super equipped! BRAVO CHEF FRANCESCO and thank you for fulfilling even the wishes of our little Daniel, who in moments of fussiness was always satisfied with such patience and sweetness. ❤️ A special thanks also to the girls in the dining room. ELENA! you are our certainty! You always pampered and welcomed us with your splendid smile. You are very talented and know how to manage the dining room in a truly superlative way. Thanks to the sweet GIULIA and to our SANDRINA! We never lacked anything thanks to your attention: you noticed immediately if something to drink was missing or if we needed help managing the buffet. You were wonderful! Thanks also to Alessandro, Giorgia, and Arianna for the super breakfasts, the warm croissants, and the freshly baked pizza. ❤️ The strong point of Hotel Maja is the people who work there! It is precisely the dedication, the professionalism, and above all the love with which you run this establishment that makes us want to return every year. For us, you are no longer simply hotel staff: you have become a part of our vacation and, above all, of our family. See you next year! I had booked at this property for the nights of August 7/8/9 with an all-inclusive package. I checked in, paid for the entire stay, but, unfortunately, I checked out after only two hours due to a panic attack of my mother who suffers from Alzheimer's. I subsequently requested a partial refund of the stay, which was denied to me. Alternatively, I was offered a voucher worth approx. 35% of the stay, which, given my mother's conditions and being her caregiver, I will never be able to use. The property appealed to the booking conditions, but I find they could have made an exception, especially in light of the fact that, given the dates, I think the room was re-rented. Beyond the disappointment for a lack of empathy towards such a serious health situation, I revealed a room with furniture a bit dated and gloomy, abundant buffet but of mediocre quality and a very kind staff.

I stayed for a week at the Hotel Maya in Pescara, returning just today. The property is classified as a 4-star, but unfortunately, the catering was decidedly below expectations for this category. Despite the division into two shifts for meals, the served buffet system constantly generated miles-long lines. To this is added a truly poor quality level of food, which represents the real weak point of the experience. A sincere round of applause goes instead to the entire staff: the bar, dining room, and reception personnel are made up of delightful people, always very kind, professional, and helpful. It is thanks to them and their excellent work that the stay was pleasant nonetheless. I hope that management can intervene regarding the quality of the restaurant to bring the hotel to the level it deserves.
