Hotel Cristallo

Although the property is a bit old now, I was able to experience this vacation in great comfort, thanks to the truly impeccable cleaning by the staff, who always made sure I found everything truly very clean upon my return to the room. The breakfast was simple but there was all the essential to recharge before a long walk. Finally, since we were not experts on the area, the reception staff was always very helpful and kind in pointing out the best places to visit!!

Cheaters! Should have zero stars. The hotel is situated in the protected zone with no cars allowed. No parking on the spot, but space for drop-off and pick-up of the luggage. They assured that we could go through the protected zone to leave and collect the luggage because we were the hotel's guests. One year after I received a fine! The police explained that the hotel must arrange authorizations for its guests to reach there, which they didn’t do for us! Moreover, they ignored all my attempts to contact them by email and via booking.com (reservation made through them) to help me handle this situation with the police. They simply do not want to pay authorizations and put their clients in risk to be fined! I can imagine how many more guests have been cheated...

We went on holiday this summer to Courmayeur. Walking we see a kiosk for cocktails management of the hotel. We decide to stop for an aperitif. First of all, the waiting times for the order were very long, despite the fact that there were not so many people. Next we order a gin and tonic and a lemon spritz. Cocktails are coming and in mine there was a gnat. I'm looking for a waiter to change my cocktail, but they were all busy doing nothing. The girl then arrives to bring us the tease. She puts it on the table, without even looking at us and without telling us anything because the poor thing was too busy talking to her colleague. She was so busy that I almost had to scream to get her attention and point out that there was a gnat in my drink and if it could have changed me. She takes the cocktail to the barman's counter, she explains what the problem was and the amazing barman, instead of making me a new cocktail, takes another glass and decants the cocktail into the new glass and brings it back to the table. Obviously all this happened under the eyes of another waiter who, despite having clearly noticed that I was watching the barman to see if he would actually change my cocktail, was standing still watching the whole scene. I don’t even say the cleverness to go and tell the barman “look the girl is watching you, make her a new cocktail” Needless to say, we left without consuming anything and telling the barman that I had seen everything.
