Trulli E Puglia

Stayed with my daughter early June for 2 nights. Reception communicated before visit to help with parking information which was much appreciated and also suggested leaving cases in car until we knew which Trulli we were allocated. We parked in Parking Nel Verde (one way street which our airport car navigation didn’t realise!!). It’s secure 16€ a day and camper vans there too. Ideally situated with manager on site supervising parking. We had Trulli Mimi (no 25). Recently done up - excellent condition and we had a double plus sofa bed so a bed each. Excellent shower. Only products were shampoo but luckily we had soap with us. Kitchenette with coffee machine, fridge and kettle. No powdered milk but they bought us a pint of fresh milk when we asked. They also lent us an umbrella when it rained. (They use wats app so easy to communicate queries to reception). Window that opened from kitchen over overgrown garden behind face fresh air. Good air conditioning unit. Breakfast is in wine bar down steep steps but if mobility issues they bring a selection up to the outdoor seated area. Coffee good - buffet fresh - I just would have preferred a china plate rather than paper plate. Our Trulli didn’t look that Trulli like from the outside but was a real one and we liked the comfort of it. My daughter did a 5k around the Unescorted site which she enjoyed seeing the sites. Lovely to be in village when most tourists not there in early morning. No safe. Would return in a heartbeat.

My room in Alberobello with Trulli e Puglia B&B was truly awful. The double bed was wedged into an alcove so tight you couldn't access it from either side, nor climb on from the bottom as there was a metal bedstead. I therefore had to sleep in a very narrow single bed with a mattress that must have been made of springs and cardboard. I spoke with the manager when checking out and explained the bed was inaccessible and he shrugged and said they are old buildings (?) and when I tried to further describe the awful single mattress he said "well that's your opinion" and walked away. I suggest people avoid this B&B and rude manager, and certainly avoid the room I had: no. 5 Via Monte Tonale.

Reception by 10, the very nice trullo cared for and clean. Located near parking in a strategic area to visit then all Alberobello. I highly recommend.
