Parco Serrone Hotel

Modern and clean hotel practically in the middle of nowhere. Good organization and very kind reception. Excellent outdoor spaces with a well-maintained pool. The only downside is that the restaurant is not up to the standard of the establishment.

Good hotel structure, fairly recent, with sufficiently functional furnishings. Clean, spacious rooms with wifi, but with tiny televisions (they evidently acquired a batch of computer monitors at reduced prices) that, positioned 4 meters from the viewing point, do not allow for sufficient viewing. Personally, I had a room with a very noisy refrigerator and non-adjustable air conditioning. It would be advisable to have a room on the reception floor or higher, to avoid proximity to the recreation room, where, at times, musical entertainment is also held until late at night. A point of good functionality is the pool, clean, spacious, and staffed by a lifeguard who is always present to ensure the service of loungers and umbrellas. The restaurant is absolutely insufficient, with very little choice on the menu, poorly packaged food, usually overcooked and of second choice. Day-old bread (even hotels of lower categories do not offer stale bread) and service staff that lacks empathy, especially the head waiter. Moreover, the dining room is located on the lowest floor accessible by two flights of stairs where I did not see elevators (I wonder how people with disabilities can reach it, unless they go around the entire structure from the outside). Breakfast offers many alternatives and a variety of food, both savory and sweet. Last but not least, the location is outside the town of Corato, reachable by a narrow road full of potholes, in an isolated and barren area. If I had had the option to choose (I was with an organized travel group), I would not have selected it among the hotels to choose from. Anyway, the number of stars assigned is abundantly given away.
