Costa Brada Luxury Resort

First and foremost, the Costa Brada enjoys a privilege that few facilities can boast: a simply extraordinary location. The setting is almost heavenly, with a wonderful sea, a very beautiful beach, and properly spaced umbrellas, an element that is anything but taken for granted in the most popular seaside resorts. The facility is well-maintained and perfectly integrated into this scenery. The experience with the reception was also very positive, where we found courtesy, helpfulness, and professionalism. A special mention is also deserved by the restaurant waitresses: kind, attentive, polite, and professional, capable of making the guest feel looked after naturally and without intrusiveness. The cuisine is overall of excellent quality. On a few occasions, we found some dishes decidedly too rich in salt, but the general judgment on the food remains very positive nonetheless. Unfortunately, precisely because the general level of the facility is high, some discordant notes are even more evident. At the restaurant, alongside the excellent professionals just mentioned, we encountered a much less commendable attitude from some male members of the staff. In particular, there would be a lot to observe regarding the maître d' in terms of attitude and ability to relate to the guest; however, I prefer to overlook the individual episodes. I will limit myself to saying that, in a facility of this level, someone holding such a role should represent the highest point of hospitality, elegance, and sensitivity toward the client. Our perception, unfortunately, was very far from this standard. But the true incomprehensible anomaly is the beach service. The contrast with the rest of the hotel is so marked that it almost gives the impression of being in another facility. Very long wait times and, above all, staff who appeared to us almost constantly lacking that minimum aptitude for hospitality that should be essential in a hotel of this category: downcast eyes, dull expressions, very few smiles, and a general feeling of little attention toward the guest. More than a problem of simple friendliness—which obviously one cannot expect from anyone—it is a question of professionalism and appropriateness to the context. In a place where almost everything communicates beauty, care, and quality, the beach service appears surprisingly detached from the identity of the facility, as if it had been entrusted to occasional staff not trained according to the hotel's standards. And it is truly a shame, because the setting is magnificent: splendid sea, beautiful beach, well-organized spaces. Precisely for this reason, such misaligned service stands out even more. Costa Brada remains a property that deserves an overall positive rating and in which there are several excellent professionals. With greater attention to the selection, training, and above all the attitude of some figures — particularly in the management of the dining room and, even more so, in the beach service — it could offer an experience truly worthy of the extraordinary setting in which it is fortunate to be located.

It was our first time at the Hotel Costa Brada, but it certainly won't be our last. Impeccable service, the WHOLE staff is exceptional, kind, professional, and always available. Nothing is missing in this paradise, the crystal-clear sea and a wonderful hotel. But one thing is certain, the magical embrace of the Costa Brada always manages to give color, serenity, and lightheartedness, without which it would not be a vacation.
