Palazzo Angelelli

Shower with mold and limescale (photo attached), sheets changed after 5 days upon request, breakfast not buffet-style as indicated by the property (photo attached). It's a shame given the excellent central location of the property, like other properties.

Fantastic stay. Cleanliness and attention to customers. A special thanks to Antonio who took care of us with impeccable service! An experience to repeat and recommend. Beautiful historic building in the center of Gallipoli.

Given the numerous positive reviews, we chose to stay in this Palace for three nights during the last weekend of June 2026. We chose a standard double room, and we were assigned room number 7. Unfortunately, the room did not meet the numerous positive reviews. The walls had obvious stains, the bathroom fixtures were full of limescale and dirt that had accumulated for months; it is evident that the room receives only superficial cleaning, or perhaps not even that. I am attaching photos of the room, the chair fabric was dirty, there were two single beds pushed together, and the sheets were not very clean. Moreover, the daily cleaning is limited to making the bed; not even the vacuum cleaner is used, and there is no daily cleaning of the bathroom either. The towels were never changed. The bathroom light bulb was burnt out. Despite the evident hygiene shortcomings of the room that we accepted, the location is excellent for visiting Gallipoli and its surroundings, and the agreement with the Bikini beach club and the free shuttle service is great. The breakfast is also good, featuring the pasticciotti from a well-known nearby pastry shop, although it could use a few more savory options.
