Between train station and sights of Lecce and host very helpful and professional. Provided a nice map and great suggestions about where to purchase food and other places to go. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Happy to let us leave our bags and pick up later on the day of checkout. Do keep in mind this is a B&B so you will need to agree time to arrive beforehand though you can then come and go as you plesse. In any event, the host was always ready for us at the time agreed.

B&B AMBiKA is situated in the historical centre of Lecce. It is certainly a MUST if you want to learn something about the South Italian way of living. The landlady Alessandra is a perfect representation of South Italian hospitality, kindness and charme. And she is very competent in answering all your questions about, customs and culture of her hometown. My room was very quiet and had a nice Oriental touch. To keep in touch with the world you internet access is provided.. But caution: internet connection and mobiles may fail to function upstairs because of the thick medieval stonewalls- Downstairs all works well. All the historical monuments as well as bars and restaurants can be reached within minutes. So, I found it a perfect place to stay and can recommend it without any restriction
