I went with my boyfriend with the idea of having a "relaxing" weekend which is why I chose a small village as an option.
I purchased the spa "package", aperitif and overnight stay for one night.
The hotel is old and poorly maintained, there is damp on the walls, essentials such as bedside light, telephone in the room, minibar are missing.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
We checked into the room, then went down for the spa and the evening aperitif and returned to the room to rest.
In front of our room there were several rooms occupied by groups of girls in a group who had their doors open, shouting and communicating with each other with loud music.
At 11.15pm we pointed out to the guy at the reception that it was difficult to sleep in that exaggerated chaos.
Quickly he told us that we had to be patient because the girls were about to leave.
At 00.00 he went up himself and although we had pointed out the discomfort that anyone would have felt in our place, he limited himself to socializing with the girls who then resumed worse than before.
Shortly after, some of them came out, others thought it best to sit near our room and start talking very loudly until 01.15 when, exasperated, we asked them to write off the money for our overnight stay and leave.
Last but not least, the owner said that it was not the responsibility of the structure and in response to my comment: you could have at least contemplated a room change to a more secluded solution, he replied that we had not asked for it, giving us back the modest amount of the missed overnight stay. €20.00.
Therefore, I too have been a receptionist for years and I am well aware of the responsibilities and relevance of the structure regarding situations of this kind: if the guests do not behave appropriately and appropriately and the staff is unable to maintain order, the structure is responsible for it. respond by seeking alternative solutions.
Here, however, there was total indifference from the owner and the evening staff at the reception, to whom I recommend a course in guest attentiveness which should make you feel at home.
If the hotel is ugly, the incompetent staff and the totally indifferent owner are the perfect combination for a nightmare night.
Absolutely not recommended!
