One of our favourite hotels in Puglia and a very special place for us. We held our wedding welcome party at Patria Palace three years ago and return every anniversary.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Lecce’s historic centre, opposite the beautiful Basilica di Santa Croce. The hotel is elegant throughout, with beautiful rooms, a spa, rooftop terrace and bar.
What really makes it special is the staff. From the doormen and reception team to the bar, housekeeping and managers, everyone is incredibly warm and cannot do enough for you.
Breakfast is excellent, often with a live violinist or harpist, and the rooftop restaurant is well worth trying. We had the tasting menu this year and it was superb, with every dish explained by the team and fantastic views over Lecce.
There is no pool, but the complimentary shuttle to Mora Mora Beach Club gives you the best of both worlds.
Beautiful hotel, brilliant staff and plenty of wonderful memories. We already look forward to coming back next year. Ciao!

Amazing hotel, professional and courteous staff, great location and amenities for a small city like Lecce. The hotel is situated right opposite the famous catheral and a small museum, in the evening the surrounding restaurants provide a great atmosphere to just go downstairs and enjoy local culture and food. Definitely going to stay here again

Really enjoyed this hotel. Staff was very friendly, professional, and competent. The location was incredible. And the hotel itself felt very modern, chic, and classic somehow - all at once. Couple of things I want to call out:
1. If you are driving here, YOU NEED TO PLAN AHEAD. Navigation (e.g. Google Maps) will not get you here because you need to drive on restricted roads (like tiny, barely wide enough to fit a car, crawling with pedestrian roads). There are some written instructions on the hotel's website that we discovered only after we were driving in circles around the city center for about 45 mins. They don't make much sense and we couldn't figure them out. We ended up driving by some policemen who kindly offered to escort us there. Once we arrived, we valeted the car and never used it again until we left.
2. Rooms are very nice, well designed, and clean. We had one with a beautiful view of the Basilica di Santa Croce.
3. Breakfast was very nice. There was a violinist playing one morning, a harpist playing the next. And they do gourmet coffee pour overs right at your table! This was a very cool and unique thing that I've never seen at another hotel in Italy. As a coffee snob, I highly approve.
4. The hotel has a beach club service where they drive you to a beach club (about 45 mins away) and provide you with towels and a water bottle. It was a nice activity for the day since it was a bit too hot for us to want to explore the city. Not sure if this is automatically included in every room rate, but it was a nice service and would recommend it. You just need to make a reservation for the shuttle (it's a Mercedes luxury van with only like 7 seats).
5. They also had a nice, albeit small gym. Looked like a converted suite. But good, new equipment, water, fruit, and it was very clean.
6. The hotel has a gorgeous rooftop restaurant. We didn't eat there but had drinks. Ambience was on point.
Overall a great luxury hotel.
