Palazzo dei Dondoli

The jewel in the crown of this marvellous establishment, just a stone’s throw from Lecce’s historic centre, is undoubtedly the General Manager, Serena, who is always elegant and classy. The Palazzo boasts a beautiful garden where you can relax in complete tranquillity; the décor in the rooms is simply fabulous! The blend of contemporary style is as unique as the General Manager herself, who gave us a first-hand experience of the history and culture of Salento. Through her stories and her knowledge of various regional cultures, she took us right to the heart of Salento, recommending beaches, cultural events, towns and provinces to visit every day, all featuring spectacular sights. Better than a Lonely Planet guide! Breakfast was excellent and our room smelled fresh and clean every day. We’d recommend this place to everyone because it offers excellent value for money and the services are nothing short of amazing. We’ve promised ourselves we’ll return to see what we missed due to a lack of time. E.C. e Silva Eduardo

During our family trip through Puglia, we stayed at Palazzo dei Dondoli for two nights, and it was a wonderful surprise. The property is beautiful, charming, and full of character. Our room was spacious, very well decorated, and equipped with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was also very good, with a wonderful, powerful shower. The room had an incredible balcony with relaxing sun loungers, which made it an especially pleasant place to rest. Our room was located on the second floor, but handling our luggage was not a problem, as there is a small elevator available. The breakfast was satisfactory, and the entire staff was kind, polite, and welcoming. We had mentioned that it was our daughter’s birthday, and they thoughtfully surprised her with a slice of cake and a candle, which was a lovely gesture. It was also very easy to find street parking near the hotel. The historic centre is a short walk away, and the route is flat and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Palazzo dei Dondoli.

Nice, clean and spacious apartment, top location, delicious & extensive breakfast and super friendly hostess and service (free beach towels and were allowed (at no extra cost) to check out later (daughter was ill, this allowed her to sleep a little longer)
