Hotel Gabbiano

Modest hotel on the coast of Manfredonia .. decent breakfast and general cleaning quite acceptable .. average prices for the period , we stayed 2 nights we were passing .. parking outdoors but convenient perhaps little shaded

The hotel is quite basic but it was OK for us as we were just passing through and there for one night. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked, which is always good. We didn't really like the location, as in the town itself (Siponto) which is more like an outer suburb of Manfredonia. We thought it was going to be more of a summer resort area for Manfredonia and while the beach is very close to the hotel, everything felt and was quite deserted. We ended up having to go into town to find somewhere nice for dinner. A positive was that both of the hotel receptionists were extremely efficient and helpful, which was nice!

Two of my good friends came to this hotel.I had previously gone to check that if there were any difficulties due to the fact my friends spoke no Italian I could be contacted.I was assured there were no problems.Alas this was not true. When my friend went to get something from his car the gate closed and he was literally trapped inside the car park.Eventually he summed up the courage to climb the gate despite being 70 !When he angrily complained to who so ever was on the desk he did not received a very convincing apology.I personaly phoed to express my dismay hoping my friends would received a full apolgy.I hoped in vain. So much for making the tourists feel important. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
