Hotel Orsa Maggiore

A fantastic experience that is renewed every year! Returning to this hotel is always a sure thing. The property is wonderful and enjoys a truly exceptional view, the ideal spot to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation without suffering from the heat in the slightest. The cleanliness is literally obsessive: impeccable environments cared for down to the smallest detail. The breakfast is rich, varied, and with excellent quality products to start the day in the best way possible. A special round of applause goes to all the staff, who are always extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. The real added value, however, is the care for the guest. Since I have been a regular customer for several years, the owner always pays unique attention to me: he never lets me go without my beloved personalized orange marmalade! This year he even outdid himself, gifting me a jar at check-out. A very classy gesture that shows how much passion and heart they put into their work. Highly recommended, I can't wait to return!

Beautiful property located near Castro, 5 minutes from the historic center; good and abundant breakfast, all genuine stuff, the cakes made by them. Too bad they are people with too many dogs that they let stay.

Spectacular. I cannot find any other adjective to describe the location and the quality of life that this hotel offers you on vacation. Located above Castro Marina and below Castro Antica, both places are easily reachable on foot through a series of paths with stairs, which allows you, for example, to go to the sea without using the car in the morning and return to the hotel in the afternoon with the little train that drops you off at a cost of two euros per person in Castro Antica, from where you can easily walk down to the hotel in 5 minutes along a dedicated path, even at night. The hotel is managed directly by the owners, who are always present, and it is very beautiful with very spacious, clean rooms and, above all, a spectacular sea view. We in Catania, Sicily, have a beautiful sea, so we are used to the sea view, but waking up in the morning and enjoying the panorama offered by the hotel from the balcony is simply crazy. You are, as I read in a review, "inside" the gulf and not on the gulf. In the evening, the view is equally spectacular; you have the moon inside the room. The hotel is well-kept in every detail, the staff is very kind, the breakfast is excellent, which you can eat either outside among the trees or inside, and there is a huge and inexhaustible private parking lot, which on vacation is certainly a great advantage for peace of mind upon returning, since you don't have the stress of looking for a spot. Small outdoor seating areas are scattered almost everywhere, allowing you to relax greatly with friends during the moments you are at the hotel. I will make one last observation to help you understand the level of the property: the speakers they use to play very pleasant background music are Bose, a brand I had never happened to see in a hotel given the cost of the product. Compliments to the owning family; it was a beautiful and, above all, relaxing 9-day stay, and I hope to be able to come back and visit you soon.
