Park Hotel San Michele

An older hotel that seems to be undergoing modernization. Fantastic pool area and a pretty breakfast. We had a family room with good space, older interior but clean and with large terrace. The city is fine for 2-3 nights where the pool can be combined with the surrounding cities. So a well older hotel, where it does work until they update regularly. Travelled with 2 children of 12 and 15 years old.

Great location next door to the centre Comfortable rooms and good service

Gentlemen, We, along with two friends, decided to book 2 rooms in November 2025 at the Park Hotel San Michele in Martina Franca in Puglia. A well-known guide wrote: "<>" It is very likely that this guide did not visit everything, because otherwise he would have insisted on avoiding rooms 314 and 315 if you are a bit overweight. Indeed, these rooms have the particularity of having showers that are 60 cm by 60 cm. This means you must enter sideways and suck in your stomach. It is impossible to shower properly; you are prohibited from moving or washing your feet. The next morning, we asked the reception to change our room. Impossible, the hotel was fully booked, it seems.. I am surprised because in November 2025, it seems unlikely that the hotel would be fully booked. What seems more realistic to me is that, seeing our body types, the receptionist gave us these rooms thinking we could fit in the shower. On the day of our departure, the manager himself, who was quite large, admitted that he could not fit in. As compensation, he offered us dinner on the evening of our arrival and the lodging taxes. As for the beautiful pool, it only opens from June 1st, even if, like this year, the temperature from May 28 to 31, 2026, was between 28 and 30 degrees.
