Casa Pastor Bonus

stayed here 3 nights on pilgramge package. The hotel was beautiful. location fantastic our room overlooked the vatican gardens. Noise was not an issue form traffic. the room size was good the beds comfortable the bathroom was big and shower was excellent. all spotlessly clean. hotel staff friendly . However this hotel did not seem to handle dietary requirements very well. my husband was vegetarian another lady was guten free with some serious dietary allergies and this posed an issue and 2 nights out of the 3 we stayed they failed to return with additional dietary item to go with his main course i.e they served the vegetable one spoonful of one vegetable and when he decliend the meat and said he was vegetarian they went away and failed to return with an alternate option. Dispite being made aware in advance by the tour company of diestary requirement. also the breakfast everymorning met with slow queues for the hot beverages. Th gardens of the hotel were stunning. the small bar was brilliant prices i.e extremely reasonable

Rather difficult to find this hotel is located on the outskirts of the town -but only 3 or 4 kms of centre, which means you need a car - it offers free parking space and good sleep quality but thats all. Despite the rather impressive exterior and helpful staff the interior ,especially the rooms dissapoint. Old furniture and bathroom facilities ,some of which need serious renovation.However the room was rather clean and the bed linen offered a sense of freshness. With 90 euros for 1 night breakfast included(it was just a cup of coffee and a croissant that all,no more coffee when we asked for it) I certainly would look for something better the next time.
