B&b in a strategic position between the center of the pleasant village and the Sanctuary. Located in a good context, the property is clean, well organized with vending machines for drinks and snacks, refrigerator, hygiene products... and total autonomy and independence. The room with bathroom is large, clean, with white sheets and towels. Luciano is very kind, helpful, attentive and discreet. We hope to repeat this great stay. Mary and Benedict

The room we stayed in was simple, clean and had free wifi. There was a great coffee shop just down the road, and was within walking distance of the Padre Pio shrine. We were extremely happy that we stayed at Santa Lucia, the owner was super helpful! When we got to San Giovanni we hired a tour guide who didn't speak English and the owner was able to translate and help get us on our way. Bottom line, stay here:)

We arrived very early in the morning as we had problems with the train in going to Foggia. Due to the influx of pilgrims because of the canonization, trains were all full. Hence, we ended up going to Ancona to catch another train going to Lecce which will stop by Foggia. Finally, we arrived at San Giovanni, Rotondo by 7am, only to be disappointed that the owner was not there. We were advised by the neighbor to call and inform the owner to open the gate so we can check-in. There is no phone booths nearby. So better bring a phone and buy a TIM sim which is reasonably for your stay in Italy. All in all, the place is quiet, clean and near the Shrine.
