Hotel Pellegrino Palace

Again this year, as we have for many now, we spent our vacation at the Hotel Pellegrino, where we feel at home because of the hospitality, the kindness, and the comforts of the entire property. The restaurant is varied and features typical Vieste recipes. It has an agreement with the Lido Castello, which is clean and very convenient; you just cross the street and you are already on the beach. In the evening, long walks to the center, which is easily reachable with the shuttle provided by the property.

We recently returned home, and the memories of the days spent at the Pellegrino Hotel follow us. We spent 2 weeks there in August 2026. Well, what can I say, I really wouldn't know where to start, from the strategic location by the sea and 2 steps from the center of the enchanting Vieste. The food is delicious and with attention to detail, and the girls in the dining room are always so kind and sweet. They organized the Ferragosto dinner down to the smallest detail with a gift at the table for every family and decorated the room in a way that was cheerful and refined at the same time. The cleanliness of the rooms is top-notch. Everyone is dear and kind. A special greeting to the super organized Ms. Annamaria, to the sweet Anna, and to the nice Mr. Antonio. My husband and I stayed for the two middle weeks of August at the Pellegrino hotel in Vieste and we were very disappointed. The only strong point of the property is the beachfront location with a partner beach club, and a positive note for the cleanliness of the rooms... the rest needs a complete overhaul... the bath and table linens, which appear worn and frayed, need to be replaced; the breakfast cups, which appear chipped and, above all, dirty because they were not washed well, should be changed; and finally, the restaurant service needs a complete overhaul!!!! We found a restaurant dining room in disarray, with waiters who do not know what to do, who to serve, and what they are serving!!!! The meals were repetitive, poorly cooked, and of poor quality, with seasonal vegetables almost nonexistent, frequent use of packaged products (pickled vegetables and olives... I mean olives in Puglia, the land of olive trees!!!), and dishes served cold, or at best lukewarm, which were often inedible, like the meat or the fish, which, last but not least, was 90% frozen, complete with an asterisk (as highlighted by the owners as if it were a point of pride...) in a seaside place!!!!!!! From a four-star hotel, one expects much more than this... beautiful Vieste deserves much more!
