Very nice location, old city center. Als few kilometers from the trainstation but the host picked me up by car.
Very friendly people! Ik stay here alone in a room with 5 beds. Lucky me! Everything spotless clean and decorated in baroc style, beautifull. The host and his wife speak English and are very helpfull. Als perfect B & B on a perfect location!

I found this place while looking in Airbnb for an accommodation for one night while in Cosenza. I set the filters to show only "entire home" listings (for privacy purposes), so it was quite a disappointment to find out that it's actually a hostel. The pictures on Airbnb were wonderful, everything looked very antique. In fact, when you see it in reality you realize that everything is just old... But maybe it's a matter of taste.
Cons:
-no trash bin in the room/bathroom;
-no hooks or anything to hang a bath towel near the shower. There was a towel rack, but it was across the room and it's not really comfortable to walk there right after the shower, wet and naked. Amenities - only one pack of shower gel, but you don't expect more for the price (€48 for two);
-historic center, which means you park far and have to climb steep steps;
-doors, beds - everything creaks. Every time I moved in the bed, it creaked...;
-probably the biggest con is how I woke up in the morning.
I heard people walking, talking, taking shower, I could hear everything! There was someone constantly talking, very loud, almost screaming, in front of the room. At first I thought they are guests, but once I got out of the room, I realized it was Francesco, the owner! His office was right in front of our room and he kept talking on the phone!
Pros:
-fireplace in the living room;
-free wifi;
-good breakfast with local fresh pastries;
-despite horrible awakening, Francesco is a nice guy, with a very outgoing personality. He gave good advices and was willing to help with anything. He also offered to store our luggage after check out if needed.

A bit hard to find in the narrow side streets of the old city centre, but this hostel was a clean and comfortable experience (although there were only 2-3 other travelers in the whole place). The owners speak English and were friendly and helpful in looking up info on nearby attractions, bus times, etc. Bathrooms were extremely clean, and a simple but good breakfast was waiting in the morning. Good value for money!
