Residence Old Well

Hotel in a beautiful corner of the sea directly on the beach. The reception staff was not very welcoming, but the guys at the restaurant for breakfast were very kind. Breakfast was nothing special, little choice. The room was dark and poorly maintained, and the cleanliness was barely sufficient. The description of the room on the website mentioned a garden view room; the only view from a tiny window was of the cars parked on the dirt road. We tried the restaurant for lunch only once, good food but little choice.

To be avoided, dangerous, negative experience; on August 25th I arrived, I paid, and afterwards they accompanied me to the room. Very dangerous; in the kitchen there was a rusty gas cylinder, the hose was attached without a clamp, the compartment where it was located was closed without being ventilated as required by regulations, everything was dirty with an incredible stench of both gas and sewage, which could be smelled in the bathroom and from the air conditioner; for my 5 and 7-year-old children, they had told me they would provide two small beds, but instead there was a very dangerous bunk bed, a crushed spider on the ceiling with a shoe print, open window screens with the possibility that small insects and even lizards, etc., could get through... chairs and fridge out of order, piled up... after 5 minutes of arriving we left, I asked them for a refund but nothing, I sent a certified email requesting the refund to both the property and Booking. The property never replied to me, whereas Booking replied that the property has no intention of refunding the money. We are already preparing everything to start a lawsuit with my lawyer against the Holdwel Hotel property and also against Booking to prevent them from passing the buck to each other.

Good location. Room quality-to-price ratio POOR. Excellent breakfast, staff very friendly. Hotel manager and/or owner very rude and arrogant.
