Old River

A nice hotel with incredibly good beds (the best we've had in Italy). Good size room with minibar, good wardrobe space, good bathroom with both a good shower and plenty of space for toiletries, as well as a large balcony with a rack for bathrobes/towels. Rent throughout the area and a great pool area with a bar/lunch nearby. Short walk of about 250 meters to the beach where there are 3 hotels and the possibility to buy sunbeds for the day. Fin beach bar on the far right. Nice staff at the hotel and easy to book shuttle bus to Tropea/Capo Vaticano (book well in advance for specific times). Quiet surroundings. A little simple breakfast but very good and varied food for dinner. Nice staff. Best suited for couples who want to relax and enjoy the Southern Italian sun.

Beautiful residence, immersed in the greenery of olive trees, palms, and banana trees, a spectacle, a garden meticulously cared for down to the smallest details, Mercurio is a wizard of greenery and proved to be an excellent person, a Friend. The room, the pool, and the food were perfect, the staff always smiling and professional.

We returned again this year to this beautiful village surrounded by greenery, very clean, equipped with sports facilities and shaded parking inside the property. The entire staff, especially Barbara at the reception, including the owners Francesco and Mercurio, are very kind and welcoming people. The food is excellent, with locally sourced vegetables coming from Mr. Mercurio's garden. Beautiful swimming pool. Garden maintained with passion. As for the sea, we recommend visiting the beautiful beaches in the surrounding area (Riaci, Tono, Formicoli) using your own vehicle.
